Hate It When Bulk-Purchased Product Packaging Fails? Avoid Pitfalls Now!
This article voices the dismay of some of our clients who had the experience of being promised bulk imports at a good price, just to receive PP woven fabric bags of inconsistent quality. Let's look at the case of Alan.
What happened to Alan?

Alan was proud of himself when he landed a cheap deal for PP laminated woven bags for his flour mill last month. They were 15% cheaper than what he would normally pay for. Plus, an immediately delivery was promised to him. That's is just perfect, isn't it?
"Never miss a good price offer!" ~ that's Alan's business mantra all these while, but he had not expected the the nightmare that was about to unfold.
When he received the bags, his foreman started reporting cases of burst bags and breakage on filling and transporting. Bad news hey~ About 7% of the bags were defective, and that's a huge deal in our industry!
When he tried to get a recourse, the supplier simply ignored his messages, calls and eventually he gave up and soaked up the loss. It wasn't cost worthy to file a foreign lawsuit against that company either, after careful consideration.
So how can we avoid disappointment when buying PP woven bags for our products?
1. Buy from a reliable supplier.
We suggest always checking for customer reviews, list of repeat clients, for example, go as far out as to asking about the company's history if you must.
2. Review contracts carefully.
Make sure your contract covers recourse methods for defective goods, and ensure that the replacement or refunds take place in a reasonably short time from reporting the issues.
Engaging an agent in the country concerned may help in setting up partnerships with foreign suppliers, especially if you are unsure of the country's business regulations and protection to your company.
3. Price is not all that matters.
We can't emphasize this enough: Stop asking for the "best price"!
Instead, consider budgetting for customized packaging bags that better suit your business. The quality that you invest in goes a long way in bringing you savings from goods damage during packing and shipping.
4. Request for product customization.
As much as we dream, there's really no ideal One Size Fits All bags out there that perfectly matches our bagging machines.
We'd also have to consider packing, storage and shipping methods when selecting the packaging bags. So do try and see if the supplier allows customization at an economical cost instead of grabbing what they already have on hand for bulk sales.

I hope that this little sharing can caution us against jumping into similar pitfalls (of incurring unnecessary costs from damaged goods and having to source for new bag suppliers).
Remember, cheap isn't necessarily good after all!
